Chinese characters are painted in neon on triangular wood batten.
The colors glow like a commercial street sign under the installed ultraviolet lamp.
Moving in front of the piece the characters change from left to right and also the meaning of the word kan-shu changes.

Depending on the pronunciation of the chinese word, it  can mean:
看書 kàn shū - reading a book or 砍樹 kǎn shù - to cut a tree.
The red neon characters are translated to reading a book and the yellow ones to cut a tree.
